专利说明:
ARMCHAIR SET COMPRISING A MOBILE SEAT EXTENSION ELEMENT Field of the invention The invention belongs to the field of fitting out passenger spaces for passenger vehicles. The invention relates in particular to a set of armchairs in which the armchairs, offering a rest or bed position, have seating surfaces having a different shape depending on whether the armchair is in a conventional seat position or a rest or bed position. More particularly in the invention, an armchair comprises an element for extending its seat which makes it possible to automatically modify the shape of the seat according to the position of the armchair for the comfort of the seat position and to respect environmental constraints in the bed position. Prior art The layout of passenger transport cabins is faced with maintaining sufficient comfort for the passenger to offer attractive conditions, in particular when relatively long journeys have to be supported, or even travel durations covering a period of sleep. Such a situation is likely to be found for example in coach trips, sea crossings and medium or long haul flights by plane. To improve passenger comfort in these conditions, it is known to provide armchairs which include a bed position at the request of the passenger, in which the passenger can lie more or less completely to adopt a position more conducive to rest than the seated position, obtained by relative movements of the seat cushion and its backrest. It is known, for example, to organize a staggered arrangement of armchairs of two neighboring rows so that, when the seats are converted into a bed, the passenger places his feet on one side of the seat of the armchair located in front of him. In this case, an area for the placement of the feet is located at the level of a wide area of the back of a neighboring row, which makes it possible to limit the total width of the armchair to a dimension less than twice the maximum width of the back of the seats. seats. However, such a staggered arrangement poses risks of interference of the seat structure of a seat with the structures of the armchair located in front due to the forward movement of the seat when converting into a bed. To avoid this interference, it is then necessary to maintain a sufficient separation distance between the rows of armchairs, and or to limit the amplitudes of the movements of the seat, and or the dimensions of the seat. Thus part of the possible gains on the density and or the comfort of the layout of a cabin is lost. It is also known to produce seats comprising a notch so as to avoid interference in the bed position with the structure of the chair in front. To give a comfortable shape in the seat position, a cushion is then placed in the place freed by the notch, the cushion being hinged mounted to automatically disappear downwards and backwards by means of an articulated rod when the seat structure is moved forward. Figures 1a, 1b and 1c illustrate a side view of such a chair 90 in which the movable cushion 93 is placed in the notch 92 of the seat 91 when the chair is in the seat position, Figure 1a, in the stored position to release the notch 92 from the seat when the chair is in the bed position, Figure 1c, and in an intermediate position between the two previous positions during the transition, Figure 1b. In the chair 90, the support 931 of the cushion is articulated on the seat 91 and the connecting rod 94 is articulated on the support 931 and at a fixed point relative to which the seat moves forward. However, this solution has the drawbacks of exposing the movable cushion to dirt by placing it close to the ground, and the mechanism for moving the movable cushion may present risks for the user, in particular entrapment of the hand or a finger. In addition, the useful surface of the seat is reduced when the movable cushion is in the stored position. Statement of the invention The present invention relates to a set of armchairs which aims to remedy these drawbacks by retaining optimum comfort for the passenger without limiting the density gains of a cabin arrangement implementing said set of armchairs. According to the invention, the assembly comprises a plurality of armchairs arranged in rows offset from each other in a longitudinal direction X and in lines parallel to the longitudinal direction X. In this assembly all the armchairs are oriented substantially in the longitudinal direction X, and the armchairs of one row are arranged on rows of armchairs offset from the lines on which the armchairs of another row are arranged immediately following it in the assembly so that the armchairs of the assembly are staggered. In addition, at least one chair in the set has a seat position and at least one rest or bed position in which the rest or bed position of a seat of said chair is advanced in the longitudinal direction X relative to the seat position. More particularly throughout the invention, the seat of said chair comprises: - a main seat, integral with a support structure of the chair, comprising at least one notch on a lateral edge of the main seat and located in a front part of said main seat; - at least one lateral extension, integral with the main seat, comprising: + a first position in which said lateral extension occupies the location of the at least one notch when the chair is in the seat position, and; + at least a second position in which said lateral extension is situated against the lateral edge of the main seat on the side of said main seat comprising the at least one notch, said second position being moved back relative to the first position relative to said main seat, when the chair is in a rest or bed position. Thus in the set of armchairs of the invention, it is obtained that the shape of the seat of an armchair adapts to the environment of the armchair, disturbed by the presence of other armchairs in the assembly, all maintaining substantially the same total surface area of the seat to maintain the comfort of the occupant of the chair. The assembly advantageously includes all or part of the following characteristics, provided that they are technically operable when taken in combination: - A cutout of the at least one notch corresponds, in hollow, substantially to a shape of an engagement zone of a rear structure of a chair of the row immediately in front of the chair considered, when the seat is in a maximum forward position, so that a positive or zero clearance is maintained between the main seat and said rear structure in said maximum forward position; - the engagement zone corresponds to a part of a covering structure of the chair of the row immediately in front; - when the seat is in the maximum advanced position, a front edge of the main seat, or a front edge of a leg rest associated with said main seat, approaches a rear part of the structure of a lateral box d '' a row chair immediately in front; - when (seat is in a maximum advanced position, the extension element forms a lateral extension of the seat of the chair; - the maximum advanced position is obtained when the chair is in the configuration Ht; - A device for guiding the movements of the at least one extension element determines the movements of said extension element relative to the main seat between the first position and the second position of this extension element; - The guide device comprises elastic return means between the main seat and the extension element, maintaining said extension element in the first position, in the absence of another force applied to said extension element; - The guide device comprises one or more guide rails integral with the main seat in which rollers rollers or pads integral with the extension element, the arrangement of said slides and said rollers or pads determining a trajectory of the extension element with respect to the main seat between the first position and the second position of said extension element; - The slides are fixed relative to the main seat and determine the trajectory of the extension element by the shapes of said slides; - at least one slide is fixed by a pivot point to the main seat; - the extension element is free to move from the first position to the second position under the effect of an external force oriented towards the rear, applied to a front edge of said extension element; - The guide device comprises at least one cable or a connecting rod arranged to limit, in an absolute reference of the assembly, the forward movement of the extension element below a predefined position when the seat main is moved forward; - The main seat has two notches arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to a longitudinal axis of the seat, and said seat has two extension elements, each corresponding to one of the notches of the main seat; the armchairs are arranged in two parallel lines and in rows comprising a single armchair, the seats of said armchairs having a recess alternately on a right side and on a left side of the seat, for each armchair on the side of the back of the armchair rank immediately ahead; the armchairs are arranged in staggered rows along 3 or more parallel lines, in rows comprising N armchairs, N equal to or greater than two, alternated with rows comprising N-1 or N armchairs, the seats of said armchairs comprising: - a notch on a left edge of the main seat of said seat for armchairs whose seat part is located at a right end of a row; - a notch on a right edge of the main seat of said seat for armchairs whose seat part is located at a left end; - a notch on a right edge and a notch on a left edge of the main seat of said seat for the other armchairs if necessary. Various configurations of the armchair assembly are thus obtained in which all the armchairs benefit from the widening of the seat in the bed or rest position. In the figures, the drawings are not necessarily shown on the same scale. In the figures, parts or similar elements, even represented in different shapes, bear the same reference. The figures are simplified representations in which the forms and elements of details not necessary for understanding the invention are not shown. For the purposes of distinguishing an armchair from another similar armchair, an index P will be added to the marks relating to an armchair located in front of an armchair to which reference is made. Thus the armchair located in front of an armchair 10 will be designated "armchair 10P" to distinguish it. Detailed description of an embodiment FIG. 2a illustrates in isometric view an isolated chair 10 comprising a seat part 20 and a lateral box 30. Such an armchair is for example installed in an aircraft cabin in line with other armchairs of the same type to form a set 100 of armchairs, but the relative positions of the seat parts and of the side boxes of which are here reversed between two armchairs. successive rows in said assembly as in the example of arrangement illustrated in FIG. 2b. The seat parts 20 on the one hand and the lateral boxes 30 on the other hand are thus staggered along two parallel lines 110a, 110b oriented along a longitudinal axis X of a system of axes linked to the set of armchairs. Overall, the seats are oriented substantially in the same direction so that passengers occupying the various seats in the seat assembly are all substantially looking in the same direction forward. In the following description, reference will be made, as necessary, to a system of axes linked to the set of seats in which the direction of the longitudinal axis X corresponds to a longitudinal direction of the set 100 of armchairs 10 and to the directions of lines 110a, 110b of seats in set 100. The longitudinal axis X is positively oriented towards the front of the assembly 100 which corresponds substantially towards the front of the armchairs, the front being the forward direction as understood by an occupant of an armchair , all the chairs in the set considered being oriented substantially in the same direction. The axis system also has a vertical axis Z, perpendicular to the longitudinal axis X, in a vertical direction and oriented positively upwards. The axis system has a lateral axis Y in a horizontal plane and oriented positively to the left, for an occupant of an armchair, so as to form a direct trihedron XYZ. In the armchairs illustrated, the lateral box 30 of the armchair 10 has a hollow volume, open towards the rear, in which a passenger of an armchair situated behind can place his legs or his feet when he is stretched, a possibility resulting from the staggered arrangement of the seats in set 100. In known manner, when the armchair is placed in a bed configuration, a seat 21 of the armchair is advanced and a backrest 23 of the armchair is inclined backwards to form all or part of a plane on which the passenger can lie . The rearward extension of an armchair 10 is here defined by a covering structure which will be more particularly considered in an area of the backrest 22 of the armchair thereafter. Due to the morphology of an individual, the width of the lateral box 30, adapted to the placement of the feet, is less than the width of the seat part 20, adapted to the width of the bust and of the passenger pelvis, in order to gain on the total width of the chair. It results in this example, depending on the dimensions of the components of the chair and their amplitudes of movement, during the conversion movements to the bed position, risks of interference between, in particular, the seat 21 of the seat which is moved forward and the structure of the armchair 10P located in front, in particular the covering of the backrest 22P, wider than the lateral box 30P. 3a shows a top view of a seat 21 of a chair 10 in the position of conventional use of said chair for a seated occupant, case of the chair 10 in the center in Figure 2b. The chair is placed in an environment corresponding to its situation in the assembly 100 illustrated in FIG. 2b, which comprises in front of it another chair 10P whose seat part and the side box are reversed. The seat part 20 of the chair 10 includes a seat back 23 of the seat at the rear of the seat, side armrests 24 of the seat of which only the right armrest is shown in FIG. 3a, and at the front, distant from a separation distance to provide mobility space to the occupant of the wheelchair, the wheelchair 10P, preceding the wheelchair 10 in question, of which a rear part of the side box 30P and a rear part of the backrest 22P is shown. The representation of Figure 3a corresponds substantially to the area framed by a broken line in Figure 2b. The seat 21, for its visible part, comprises a main seat 210, which main seat extends, in top view, from a front edge 211 at the front of the seat to a rear edge 212 of the seat on the side of the backrest 23 of the seat, and has an extension element 40. The extension element 40 is located substantially opposite the covering of the backrest 22P of the chair 10P located in front, on the right side of the seat 21 in the example illustrated, and has a complementary shape d '' a notch 215 formed in the main seat 210 and, in the position illustrated in Figure 3a, said extension member is located in said notch so as to give the seat 21 a conventional shape without noticeable notch for an occupant from the chair. More particularly, the notch 215 is formed on the side of the front edge 211 and of a lateral edge of the seat, and extends laterally rearward to give said notch a substantially triangular shape tapering towards the rear. . The preferred shape of the notch corresponds locally to a shape complementary to the structure of the backrest 22P of the chair 10P located in the front, in an engagement zone of the rear structure of said backrest 22P, as will be understood below. In addition, as shown diagrammatically in FIG. 3b, in which the seat 21 is shown partially without cushion or protective covering, the extension element 40 is mounted movable relative to the main seat 210 so as to be able to follow, in a plane substantially parallel to a plane of the seat, a movement of translation mainly towards the rear and of translation and or rotation towards the outside of said seat. These movement capacities of the extension element 40 are obtained, in the embodiment of FIG. 3b, by slides 213 secured to the main seat 210 in which rollers 42 or pads of a support circulate. of the extension element. The displacement capacities of the extension element relative to the main seat are thus determined by the shapes and positions of the slides and the positions of the rollers. When the chair is converted to the bed position, or an intermediate position between sitting and bed, in known manner, part of the chair is moved forward, see Figures 1a to 1c of the prior art, so that the seat 21 tends to close the open space between the front edge 211 of said seat and the side box 30P of the chair located in front, the back 23 being inclined backwards. As shown in Figure 4 compared to Figure 3a, the movement of the seat 21 forward, positive X direction materialized by the arrow shown on said seat, is confronted with the occurrence of an INT interference between the front edge 211 of the seat and the structure of the chair 10P located forward, in the engagement zone, while said seat has not yet been sufficiently advanced for a complete conversion of the chair 10. More particularly, said occurrence occurs here between the extension element 40 and the covering of the backrest 22P of the front wheelchair. FIG. 5a illustrates an intermediate position of the seat 21 more advanced than in FIG. 4. In this case, to allow the movement of the structure of the chair 10 and of the seat 21, the forward progression of the extension element 40 is stopped while the main seat 210 is still moved towards the before. In a frame of reference related to the main seat, it is equivalent to say that, at this stage of the movement of the seat, the extension element moves back by an amplitude equal to the movement of the main seat forwards in an absolute repository. In this relative movement, the retraction of the extension element 40, which is accompanied by a lateral displacement and a rotation of said extension element, has the effect of releasing the notch 215 from the main seat 210 . A shape of the notch 215 is produced in order to avoid interference of the main seat 210 with the covering of the backrest 22P of the chair 10P forward so that the movement of the seat 21 can be continued over the distance desired, for example to come and dock the lateral box 30P of the front seat forming the housing for the occupant's feet, as illustrated in FIG. 6a, when the notch 215 is completely free. Advantageously, the relative rearward movement of the extension element 40 is associated with a lateral clearance so that said extension element is placed on the lateral edge of the main seat 21 on the side where the l notch 215, right in the example illustrated. This result is obtained by defining the slides 213 for guiding the extension element 40 along a trajectory substantially tangent to the edge of the main seat as illustrated by the succession of positions of said extension member and said main seat shown. in Figures 3b, 5b and 6b. The arrangement thus obtained of the extension element when the seat is in a bed position makes it possible to locally expand the sleeping surface for the benefit of improved comfort for the occupant of the chair. The movement of the extension element as deduced from the above description is also reversible so that, when the chair is returned to the seat position, the extension element 40 returns to its initial position in the 'notch 215 of the main seat 210 to reconstitute a conventional seat. The movement of the extension element 40 can be ensured by any suitable device, active or passive. In an embodiment not shown, an actuator such as an electric or pneumatic actuator, advantageously located under the seat 21 or in a thickness of a structure of the seat, bearing on a support linked to the main seat 210, moves the extension element 40 relative to said main seat as a function of the position of the seat provided by a sensor. In another embodiment, at least one return spring, not shown, tends to bring the extension element 40 permanently into the notch 215 of the main seat and the force exerted during the movement of the seated by the resistance encountered by said extension element, when the front edge 43 of said extension element abuts against the structure of the chair 10P situated in front, retains said extension element, while the main seat 210 continues to be moved forward, which is guided in its relative movement relative to said main seat by the grooves 213 in which circulate the rollers 42 or the pads. This solution supposes an effective contact between the extension element 40 and the structure of the 10P chair located in front, which therefore requires precautions, for example the installation of local shielding, to avoid marking and early wear. surfaces brought into contact, but has the advantage, in addition to mechanical simplicity, of adapting to the presence of an unforeseen obstacle, for example the hand of the occupant of the wheelchair which would be caught between the surfaces which must come into contact . In this case, a spring of moderate force limits the possible inconvenience for the occupant of the chair. In a variant of this latter embodiment, a limiting device determines a maximum advanced position of the extension element 40, in an absolute local coordinate system in which the structure of the chair 10P in front forming an obstacle is fixed, and which acts on said extension element before the latter is in contact with the structure of the chair forward, for example to maintain a constant play, advantageously of the order of a few millimeters to twenty five millimeters, when the main seat continues to progress forward to dock the side box. Such a limiting device comprises for example a stop, fixed in the absolute local coordinate system, on which a part of the extension element or of its support comes to lock. In another embodiment, a cable, fixed at a first end to a part of the chair fixed in the absolute local coordinate system and fixed at a second end to the extension element 40 or to the support 41, is arranged to limit the forward position of said extension element by exerting rearward traction when the desired most forward position is reached. In all passive embodiments, ie not using a controlled actuator, the extension element returns to its position in the notch of the main seat, when the chair is returned to the seat position, under the effect of the return spring (s). Those skilled in the art will be able to define other conventional technical solutions as far as the functions of limiting the front position of the extension element by moving said extension element laterally on a lateral edge of the seat and to recall said extension element towards the front of the seat as a function of the movements of the seat are ensured. A person skilled in the art will also adapt the solution presented according to any special features of the armchairs which may include accessories such as a leg rest secured to the armchair or to the side box of the armchair located in front. As described, the path followed by the extension element is intended to avoid mechanical interference between the seat and a fixed structure in front of the seat, to fill the notch formed in the main seat to avoid said fixed structure by reconstituting a seat of conventional shape in the seated position of the chair, and laterally extending a surface of the seat in the bed position of the chair. Approximately, the notch 215 formed in the main seat 210 has a profile which corresponds hollow to the obstacle which can cause mechanical interference and the extension element is similar, in terms of the geometric shape in top view, to a cut-out part of a conventional seat to form the main seat. The illustrated embodiment implements grooves 213 for guiding the main seat 210 and rollers 42 or pads of the support 41 of the extension element 40 to define the path followed by said lateral extension which, in the case illustrated, follows backwards: a first part of the trajectory which guides the extension element substantially in translation in a direction towards the rear and towards the outside, substantially parallel to a line of separation of the main seat and the extension element ; - A second part of the trajectory which guides the extension element in rotation to bring the edge of said extension element opposite the main seat parallel to a lateral edge of said main seat; - a third part of the trajectory which guides the extension element substantially in translation in a rearward direction, substantially parallel to a lateral edge of the main seat. Other embodiments make it possible to obtain an equivalent result to guide the movement of the extension element, for example systems with rigid articulated rods, associated or not with slides and or with actuators. For example, the extension element is slidably mounted on a rail in pivot connection with the main seat, solution not shown, and a pin or an abutment fixed to the main seat pushes the extension element laterally when its relative displacement towards the rear of the main seat. The detailed description is illustrated from the simple case of an armchair 10 located behind another 10P armchair, the longitudinal axes of which are offset laterally. Obviously this configuration can be present for the various armchairs arranged in successive rows in the longitudinal direction X, without being limited to three rows as in the illustration in FIG. 2b. Furthermore, the arrangement of armchairs in a cabin is not limited to the case of a row of armchairs each comprising only one armchair, as shown in FIG. 2b, and in which the risk of occurrence of interference from the seat with a structure of the front armchair exists. By way of example, FIGS. 7a to 7d show other arrangements of staggered armchair assemblies in which the invention applies. FIG. 7a illustrates a set in successive rows of 2/1/2 armchairs on three lines, FIG. 7b illustrates a set in successive rows of three armchairs on four lines, FIG. 7c illustrates a set of 3/2/3 armchairs on five lines, and FIG. 7c illustrates a set in successive rows of three armchairs on six lines. It will be noted in these latter examples of sets of seats that the seats belonging to a line 10c bordered on each side by another line, that is to say other than a line 10a, 10b on an edge of said set , present occurrences of interference on the two lateral sides of their seats. In this case the seats 21 concerned comprise main seats 210 with two notches 215, arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to the longitudinal axis of the seat, and two extension elements 40 corresponding to said two notches. In these assemblies, the fact that a seat part of certain armchairs is situated between two lateral boxes or that a lateral box of certain armchairs is situated between two seat parts does not modify the technical problem which is solved by the invention. The invention thus makes it possible to optimize the use of space in a cabin by associating with a staggered arrangement of the seats an armchair whose seat comprises an extension element which optimally manages the presence of the obstacle formed by the wheelchair forward by creating an additional sleeping surface in the bed or rest position of the wheelchair and without risk for the seat user.
